    *Using OEM connecting rods often makes better sense over an aftermarket rod because they are a direct replacement not only in physical dimensions but weight as well. It is true that some aftermarket rods have superior strength to an OEM rod but if that additional strength is not required in your particular project than an OEM rod is a perfect replacement and has less chance to adversely effect the overall balance of your engine.
