  • Condition: A pair of used Hand-Made (I believe) MARACAS from Puerto Rico. My Aunt taught English (and spoke Spanish) in Puerto Rico in the 1940's for several years and brought these back with her on return (but left an ex-husband there?). The instruments have handles that are just short of 10" long and the dried goards are about 3.5" in diameter. Simple geometrics decorate them. I opened one and there are what look like small red glass beads without holes in them. There is a small break in one of the goards at the lower hole and I show that in the 3rd image. They keep "recommend'ing that I add one more foto. (I had to put at least one Spanish word in here.) ¡Gracias!

    A pair of Hand-Made (I believe) MARACAS from Puerto Rico. My Aunt taught English (and spoke Spanish) in Puerto Rico in the 1940's and brought these back with her on return (but left an ex-husband there?).
